After 1,800 years, the ancient Kestros Fountain in the historic city of Perge, Turkey, has been restored and is flowing again. The fountain, originally built during the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian, has been revived to its former glory. It was fed by the Kestros River via a 700-meter-long canal system. The restoration project was supported by the Provincial Culture Directorate, Antalya Museum, and the Ministry. The revival of the fountain is expected to bring new vitality to Perge, known for its organized Roman city and marble sculptures.
