The Lebanon agreement includes the involvement of Britain, Germany, and France, despite Israeli opposition to French participation. Israel has conditioned its acceptance of France's role on assurances that Paris will not enforce International Criminal Court arrest warrants against its leaders. The Lebanese sought involvement from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Jordan, but their participation is yet to be confirmed. The international mechanism aims to assist the LAF and UNIFIL in enforcing their responsibilities under the agreement.
