The city of Amsterdam has banned traveling fans of Italian club Lazio Rome from attending Ajax Amsterdam's Europa League home game due to concerns of extreme-right, antisemitic, and racist expressions. This decision comes after violent clashes between Israeli soccer fans and pro-Palestinian Arab protesters earlier this month. Lazio has a history of incidents involving fan misconduct, including fines for racist and antisemitic behavior. Anti-Israel demonstrations in Amsterdam have continued despite restrictions put in place after the violent attacks on Maccabi Tel Aviv fans. Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof has condemned the violence as purely antisemitic, and Dutch security authorities have not found evidence of Israel's advance warnings of the pogrom in Amsterdam.
