Artifacts from Greek and Roman times have been discovered during the construction of a subway system in Thessaloniki, Greece. The project, which began in 2003, has led to thousands of archaeological finds, including Roman-era roads and Greek mosaics. Many of these artifacts will be incorporated into the design of the subway station. However, the discovery of these artifacts has caused delays and added expenses to the project, which has cost $3.1 billion to complete.
