Shalom Nagar, the hangman of Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann, has died. Nagar, who served as a personal guard for Eichmann, carried out the execution in 1962. His identity remained secret for 30 years before being revealed in 1992. Nagar suffered from PTSD and nightmares after the hanging and later became religious. Eichmann, a key figure in planning the Final Solution, was abducted by Israeli agents in 1960 and brought to Israel for trial. He was convicted and sentenced to death.
