Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) expects to resume European routes soon after the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) lifted its ban on the flag carrier. PIA plans to approach the UK's Department for Transport for UK route resumption. The airline anticipates resuming flights to Europe, starting with Paris, within the next three to four weeks. Once PIA gets approval for UK flights, London, Manchester, and Birmingham will be the most sought-after destinations. PIA and the government are aiming to sell a 60% stake in the carrier and have urged EASA to lift the ban, which cost the airline $144 million annually in revenue.
