Band Aid 40, the latest version of the iconic charity track Do They Know It's Christmas?, has been released to mixed reviews. The song features a blend of voices from the original Band Aid (1984), Band Aid 20 (2004), and Band Aid 30 (2014) recordings. However, the release is a poignant reminder of the personal tragedies suffered by many of the artists involved. Liam Payne, who contributed to the 2014 remix, tragically passed away last month, while Sinead O'Connor, who features in the Ultimate Mix, died in 2023. Other artists, such as Dizzee Rascal, have faced controversy and legal issues since their involvement in Band Aid.
