The U.S. is set to launch its third crackdown on China's semiconductor industry, restricting exports to 140 companies and adding chip equipment makers Naura Technology Group, Piotech, and SiCarrier Technology to the list. The move aims to hinder China's chipmaking ambitions and prevent access to advanced memory chips and chipmaking tools. The package also includes curbs on shipments of high bandwidth memory chips and new export restrictions on chipmaking equipment. The U.S. is also expected to place additional restrictions on Semiconductor Manufacturing International, China's largest contract chip manufacturer.
