Lebanon charity picks up pieces after Israeli bombing

Lebanese charity Amel Association International is assessing the damage to its centres after Israeli strikes targeted nearby buildings. The strikes, which began in late September, caused extensive damage to several of Amel's facilities, including a centre for women and children in south Beirut. The charity has reported that 13 of its 40 centres were damaged in the conflict. The strikes targeted branches of Al-Qard al-Hassan, a US-sanctioned financial firm with links to Hezbollah. The United Nations has condemned the strikes, which it says caused extensive damage to civilian property and infrastructure.
