Archaeologists uncover earliest known evidence of Christianity north of the Alps: 'Unusual for this time'

Archaeologists have uncovered the earliest known evidence of Christianity north of Italy, with the discovery of the Frankfurt silver inscription. The artifact, dating between 230 and 260 A.D., consists of 18 lines written in Latin and was found in a third-century grave in Germany. The inscription references Saint Titus and Jesus Christ, and is purely Christian, without any references to Judaism or pagan elements. The discovery is considered one of the most important testimonies of early Christianity worldwide.
