Vietnam will showcase locally made weapons at an international arms fair in Hanoi as it seeks to boost its domestic industry and possibly export military equipment. The Southeast Asian nation is a major importer of weapons, especially from Russia, but has recently bolstered its domestic defense industry. State-owned defense firm Viettel and other local companies will showcase missile defense systems, drones, air defense radars, armored vehicles, and artillery. The fair will also host exhibitors from Iran, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, the United States, Europe, Turkey, and China.
