The Israeli military launched airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen in response to the militia's attacks on Israel. The strikes killed nine people and targeted ports and energy infrastructure in the capital, Sana, as well as the port city of Salif and an oil facility in Ras Isa. The Houthis have been attacking commercial vessels in the Red Sea and have fired missiles at Israel, most of which have been intercepted. In July, a drone strike on Tel Aviv resulted in Israeli retaliation by bombing Hudaydah.
