HMS Dragon, a Royal Navy warship, has been awarded the freedom of Wrexham, becoming the first Navy vessel to receive the city's highest honour since World War Two. The ship, one of the Navy's air defence destroyers, has been involved in significant operations, including a record-breaking drug seizure worth £200m in the Middle East. The freedom of Wrexham has also been granted to Wrexham FC owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, former Prime Minister David Lloyd George, and the Royal Welsh, Wales' oldest Army regiment.
