Two sailors have died after being struck on their yachts during the Sydney to Hobart yacht race in Australia. The incidents occurred amid poor weather conditions, resulting in 15 other yachts withdrawing from the race. The sailors were killed after being struck by their yacht's boom, a large horizontal pole at the bottom of a sail. The names of the deceased crew members have not been released yet. The race will continue as the fleet makes its way to Constitution Dock in Hobart.
