The Houthi rebel group in Yemen has vowed to continue attacking Israel, despite recent air strikes on Yemen by the US and UK. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of the Houthis' political bureau, stated that Yemenis were moving towards a direct confrontation with the US, UK, and Israel. He also claimed that the Houthis did not need the support of Iran and had enough capabilities to continue the battle on their own. Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated that his country had attacked targets of the Houthi terrorist organization as part of a 'war of redemption'. The UN Secretary General has called for all parties to cease military actions and exercise restraint.
