Fears of World War Three have increased as experts warn that Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to 're-establish the Soviet Union' and assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Defence analysts have stated that Putin has no intention of giving up his quest to expand his territory, even if a peace deal is offered by incoming US President Donald Trump. Professor Anthony Glees believes that Putin aims to force NATO states to leave the alliance and restore the borders of the USSR.
