The Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, believed to be connected to the pro-Russian group NoName057, was quickly mitigated by Italy's cybersecurity agency. The hackers claimed their actions were in retaliation for perceived hostility towards Russia. Despite the attack, airport operations continued without interruptions, and the mobile application remained accessible for travelers. The Italian police have launched an investigation into the cyberattacks.
