An Indiana Army National Guard soldier, Capt. Eric Richard Hart, died in a 'non-combat related incident' in Iraq just days after Christmas. The incident is currently under investigation. Hart served with the Indiana National Guard for 11 years and was an integral part of the team. The U.S. announced plans to shrink its 'footprint' in Iraq and end the current mission of coalition forces.
