The rise in antisemitism worldwide has left the Jewish community feeling isolated and vulnerable, according to Rabbi Moshe Hauer. Antisemitic incidents have increased significantly since the Hamas terror attack in Israel in October 2023, with schools, community centers, and houses of worship facing threats and violence. The Anti-Defamation League has recorded over 10,000 antisemitic incidents in the past year, the highest annual total ever counted. Politicians and the United Nations have contributed to the rise in anti-Israel hate, and social media influencers have normalized hatred of Israel. Antisemitic incidents have also surged in Europe, prompting Jews to change their behavior and even leave the country.
