The Middle East is eagerly awaiting the arrival of President-elect Donald Trump, who is perceived as a dominant and strong leader. Trump's influence can already be seen in Iran's hesitancy to carry out its promised retaliation on Israel. In order to ensure the security of Israeli citizens and achieve reconciliation with neighboring countries, measures such as closing and surveilling the borders between Syria and Lebanon and disarming Hezbollah need to be taken. A buffer zone should also be formed in the northern part of Gaza to prevent Hamas from rearming. Additionally, a civilian body like the UAE or Saudi Arabia should take on the ruling of Gaza during an intermediary period.
