Gaza's civil defence agency reported that an Israeli air strike killed 11 people, including the former chief of Hamas police force. The strike targeted a tent housing displaced people in the southern Gaza Strip. Among the victims were the police chief and his deputy. The Israeli military is investigating the incident. Israel has threatened to intensify its strikes on Gaza if Hamas continues to fire rockets into Israel.
