BBC accused of anti-semitism after Rabbi is 'ambushed' in interview

The BBC has issued an apology to Rabbi Gideon Sylvester after accusations of anti-semitism were made against the network. During a BBC News interview, anchor Ben Brown asked the Rabbi about the prospect of a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine, which the Rabbi deemed as 'outrageous'. Rabbi Sylvester accused the BBC of promoting anti-Jewish attitudes and spreading misinformation about the Middle East. The Campaign Against Antisemitism also levelled accusations of anti-Jewish bias at the BBC. The network has since confirmed that it has been in contact with Rabbi Sylvester in the wake of the interview.
