What we know about New Orleans terror attack survivors

Terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar's New Orleans truck-ramming attack killed 14 people and injured over 30 others. Most of the victims were in their 20s and came from various states and Great Britain. Sixteen injured victims remain hospitalized, with half in intensive care units. Survivors include a man in a wheelchair who had both legs broken and a woman who was shot in the foot and hit by the truck. Two Israeli reservists were also injured and wish to remain anonymous. Two New Orleans Police Department officers were injured but are expected to recover. Eight victims are still in the ICU at University Medical Center. A law firm representing one survivor plans to file a lawsuit against the City of New Orleans and the New Orleans Police Department for failing to establish safety precautions.
