The mother of 'Gone Girl' kidnapper Matthew Muller is standing by her son, even as he faces fresh charges. Muller is currently serving 40 years behind bars for rape and false imprisonment after kidnapping Denise Huskins in 2015. Prosecutors have now charged him with two more crimes that are similar to the 2015 home invasion. Muller's DNA was found on straps used to bind one of the victims in the 2009 crimes. He pleaded guilty to kidnapping in the 'Gone Girl' case in 2016 and to the sexual assault of Denise Huskins in 2022.
