The National Library of Israel is marking 100 years since Franz Kafka's death with a temporary exhibition titled 'Kafka: Metamorphosis of an Author.' The exhibition features over 80 original items from the NLI's collection, including Kafka's famous will and the accusatory 'Letter to His Father.' It also includes original manuscripts, personal letters, photographs, and artwork commissioned from Israeli illustrators. The exhibition will run until June 30, 2025. Kafka's papers were divided between the Bodleian Libraries at Oxford and the NLI, with the latter holding the second-largest collection despite Kafka never visiting Jerusalem.
