Dr Clinton Bailey, also known as Isaac, a renowned Bedouin expert and interviewer of David Ben-Gurion, passed away at the age of 88. His interview with Ben-Gurion inspired a major film and he established an archive of Bedouin life at the National Library of Israel. Bailey was born in Buffalo, New York, and completed his education in Israel and the United States. He served in the IDF and worked as an advisor for Arab affairs in the defense ministry. Bailey was also known for his expertise in Bedouin culture and poetry, and his collection formed the Clinton Bailey Archive of Bedouin Culture.
