Perry, the mini donkey who served as a model for the character in the DreamWorks movie Shrek, has passed away at the age of 30. Perry was a beloved mascot in Palo Alto and his death has saddened both movie fans and visitors. Despite his contribution to Shrek, Perry was not credited in the film. He spent most of his life at the Barron Park Donkey Project in Palo Alto.
