Meta, the company that owns major social media apps, has adjusted its moderation policies to allow accusations of mental illness towards LGBTQ+ individuals based on their gender or sexual orientation. The new guidelines also remove rules against insults based on appearance, race, ethnicity, disability, and more. Meta's global policy chief stated that the company will focus on illegal and high-severity violations in its content moderation efforts.
