CIA Director William Burns believes that a deal to rescue hostages from Gaza can be achieved by President-elect Trump's inauguration day. Burns stated that negotiations between Israel and Hamas were serious and could be wrapped up within the next couple of weeks. He also emphasized that the ceasefire was about human beings and the suffering of hostages and Gazan civilians. Burns noted that the gaps in demands between Israel and Hamas had narrowed. In addition, he commented on the Iranian regime's strategic blunders and its weakened position.
