Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has offered a prisoner swap with North Korea after capturing two North Korean soldiers in Russia's Kursk region. This is the first time Ukraine has announced the capture of North Korean soldiers since their entry into the war last autumn. Zelenskyy made a direct appeal to Kim Jong Un and offered to exchange the soldiers for Ukrainians held by Russia. The captured soldiers expressed different desires, with one wanting to stay in Ukraine and the other wanting to return to Korea.
