Recruitment firm PageGroup has announced that it will be cutting more roles as it warns of lower profits due to a weakened jobs market in Europe. The company reported a 17.2% fall in group gross profits in the final quarter of 2024, with gross profits in the UK dropping by 16.3% and across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa division falling by 15.8%. PageGroup also revealed that it has closed shared service centres in the UK and Singapore, resulting in £5 million in one-off costs. The company now expects full-year earnings to be at the lower end of expectations.
