A French woman was scammed out of €830,000 euros after sending money to a catfisher who posed as actor Brad Pitt using AI-generated images. The scammer initially claimed to be Brad Pitt's mother and later pretended to be Pitt himself. The scammer used AI-generated pictures of Pitt lying in a hospital bed and claimed to need money for medical treatment. The victim sent the scammer the money she received from her divorce settlement.
