Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara wrote that there was no basis for any criminal investigation against Amit. The allegations arose in 2023, but Levin waited until the days before the deadline to air them. The Judicial Selection Committee is the authorized body to determine Amit's candidacy, and it is imperative for the committee to convene.
