Brazil's Supreme Court denies former President Jair Bolsonaro's request to temporarily restore his passport in order to attend the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. Bolsonaro, who is under investigation for various allegations, including an alleged attempt to stay in office despite his electoral defeat, had his passport seized last February. The court ruled that Bolsonaro currently holds no position that would allow him to represent Brazil at the event and that he did not adequately prove that he had been invited. The Brazilian ambassador to the U.S. will attend the inauguration instead.
