Nine activists from the protest organisation Palestine Action have appeared in a London court to deny offences including burglary, criminal damage, and violent disorder over an incident at a warehouse linked to Israeli defence firm Elbit. The activists are accused of smashing their way into the Elbit Systems UK facility in Bristol, causing an estimated 1 million pounds worth of damage. They pleaded not guilty to the charges. The first trial involving eight of the defendants is scheduled to start in November, with the others appearing at subsequent trials. Pro-Palestinian protesters have targeted Elbit Systems UK and other defence firms in Britain linked to Israel following the conflict in Gaza.
