Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani praised incoming President-elect Donald Trump and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff for helping achieve the recently approved deal. He stated that the deal followed the same framework as the one agreed upon in December 2023. Thani called the negotiations of the past 13 months a waste and emphasized that peace won't happen without a Palestinian state. He believes that if this approach is maintained, a lot of good things can be achieved for the region in the next four years. Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon and former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert also credited Trump for putting pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to get a deal.
