Israel is set to release over 1,000 Palestinian prisoners as part of the initial cease-fire agreement, beginning with 90 on Sunday. The prisoners are seen differently by Israelis and Palestinians, with Israelis considering many of them as terrorists and murderers, while Palestinians view them as freedom fighters. Some of the prominent prisoners set to be released include Zakaria Zubeidi, a former militant leader, and Wissam Abbasi, Mohammad Odeh, and Wael Qassim, who were jailed for carrying out Hamas attacks. Khalida Jarrar, a leader in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, is also expected to be released. She has been an activist for the rights of Palestinians jailed by Israel.
