Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar warned that the Middle East would remain unstable if Hamas remained in power in the Gaza Strip. Saar stated that if Hamas continued to stay in power, the regional instability caused by the group might persist. He emphasized that Israel was committed to achieving all the goals of its war against Hamas, including dismantling its governmental and military capabilities. Saar also mentioned that if the international community wanted a permanent ceasefire, it must include the dismantling of Hamas as a military power and ruling entity in Gaza. He stated that achieving this could be possible through future negotiations.
