Former East 17 member John Hendy has urged ex-boyband stars to 'get a grip' and stop complaining about fame. Hendy, who now works as a roofer, has no regrets about his time in the band and believes that his rich friends would trade places with him any day. He acknowledges that being in a boy band has its lows as well as its highs, but believes that it's all part of the experience. Despite not having financial success from his time in the band, Hendy appreciates the opportunities and memories he gained.
