Israel and Hamas are set to engage in the third exchange of prisoners and hostages as part of the ceasefire. Israel will release 110 Palestinian prisoners, while Hamas will set free eight hostages - three Israeli and five Thai nationals. Among the Israelis to be released are a female soldier, a civilian woman, and an elderly man. The identities of the Thai nationals are not yet known. The release of one of the Israeli hostages caused a brief dispute over the sequence of releases. Among the prisoners being released from Israeli prisons are individuals serving life sentences for deadly attacks against Israelis, as well as a former militant leader and theatre director who was rearrested after a jailbreak in 2021.
