Israeli car cybersecurity company GuardKnox has filed for court protection due to its debt and cash flow crisis. The company, which has raised $60 million, has ongoing liabilities of NIS 11 million that it will struggle to repay without legal arrangements. GuardKnox has been forced to lay off employees, close a product line, and cut employee salaries in order to reduce cash burn. The company cites factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and the judicial overhaul in Israel as contributing to its financial difficulties. Despite these challenges, GuardKnox has active transactions with Israeli security agencies, the US military, and potential revenues of $165 million over the next seven years.
