French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a renovation and exhibition plan for the Louvre Museum, aiming to reduce overcrowding and improve the visitor experience. The plan, called 'New Renaissance of the Louvre,' includes the creation of a new grand entrance and the relocation of the Mona Lisa to a dedicated exhibition space. The renovation works are estimated to cost €700 to €800 million and will be funded through the museum's own resources. The project is expected to be completed by 2031 at the latest.
