Paul Danan, the former Hollyoaks star, claimed in a final interview before his death that he was related to a renowned Jewish prophet and expressed hopes of marrying his dream girl in a synagogue. He revealed that he was a descendant of the Sephardic rabbi and philosopher Maimonides, also known as Rambam, who had a significant impact on the Jewish community. Danan shared his excitement about being related to such a respected figure and recounted his experiences visiting a synagogue and meeting a rabbi who honored him due to his connection to Rambam. He also expressed his desire to marry his future partner in the same synagogue. Danan passed away at the age of 46 after slipping and falling at a residence in Bristol.
