House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast has criticized the State Department for approving these expenditures under Joe Biden's administration. Trump's foreign aid freeze has also affected grants for electric vehicles in Vietnam and transgender opera in Colombia. Mast and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are working to dismantle these programs.
