Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, a prominent Indigenous artist known for her collage work, has passed away at the age of 85. She brought the complexity of contemporary Indigenous experience to the forefront of her art, seamlessly blending personal, political, and historical references. Smith's career as a curator was also notable, as she curated over 30 shows of Indigenous art and worked to share access and attention with her peers.
