Opel has introduced a new electric-assisted 4x4 system in its Combo van lineup, with plans to implement the technology in similar models from Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat, and Toyota. The system features a separate electric motor connected directly to the rear wheels, powered by a dual-battery setup. The front wheels are driven by a 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
