Barood, a unique restaurant-bar in downtown Jerusalem, is gearing up for its 30th anniversary. Despite facing challenges such as two intifadas, the light rail construction, and the coronavirus pandemic, Barood has managed to stay open and attract customers six days a week. The establishment has a rich musical history, starting with jazz saxophonist Arnie Lawrence, who brought his students to perform at the bar. Today, many of Lawrence's former students are highly respected artists and teachers. Barood continues to be a popular spot for live music and has maintained its bohemian atmosphere.
