The University of Michigan chapter of anti-Israel student activist group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) has been suspended for up to two years, according to the club. The suspension came after a year of protests and disruptions related to the Israel-Hamas War. The SJP branch Students Allied for Freedom and Equality (SAFE) called the suspension an attempt to silence campus anti-Israel activity. SAFE announced a meeting with other groups to discuss how to fight against the repression of pro-Palestine speech and activism.
