Delays in US military aid to Ukraine during the final year of President Joe Biden's term were caused by internal debates and concerns over the US stockpile, according to a Reuters investigation. The delays were worst during the months it took Congress to pass $60bn in supplemental aid for Ukraine, but continued even after the money was approved. By November, just half of the total dollar amount the US had promised in 2024 had been delivered, and only 30% of promised armoured vehicles had arrived by early December. Ukraine lost nearly all the land it regained in its 2023 counteroffensive in the final 12 months of Biden's term.
