Salman Rushdie is expected to testify in the trial of Hadi Matar, the man charged with stabbing him in 2022. Matar has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and assault. The attack left Rushdie blind in one eye and with a permanently damaged hand. Video footage of the attack will be shown to jurors, along with other evidence.
